Collaborative Game Development (CGD) is a student organization at UCLA dedicated to learning game design and development through team-based projects.  No experience required!

Process

Every year teams are formed based on interest in a collaboratively developed idea.  Teams are then divided into roles (Programming, Art, Sound, and Story/Design) at which point these subgroups begin to plan and concept out the game while consulting with the rest of the team.  Older club members will teach new members how to get started and use professional software tools through small tutorials at the beginnings of meetings and additional mentoring throughout the year.  You’ll be off the ground making your game in just a couple weeks!
